Architectural floor lantern by BEGA, Germany, 1970s
Tall conical outdoor lantern by German manufacturer BEGA, dating to the 1970s. Its tapered shade, cylindrical post and protective glass enclosure with metal cage make it both visually striking and built for endurance.
The BOOM collection by BEGA reflects a long tradition of craftsmanship in durable outdoor lighting. Originating from BEGA’s acquisition of the Belgian glassworks Boom in the 1970s, the series combines cast metal—bronze, brass or aluminium—with hand-blown glass and robust surface finishes. Each piece is designed to withstand the elements while retaining an architectural elegance that feels both historic and contemporary.
Good vintage condition. Minor age-related marks to the metal and a small hairline in the glass, stable and not affecting use.
