A striking example of Danish Space Age lighting, this Formland table lamp was designed in the 1970s by Sidse Werner and Leif Alring for the iconic Danish lighting manufacturer Fog & Mørup.
Its sculptural silhouette, defined by a red lacquered metal shade, reflects the refined geometry and bold chromatic contrasts emblematic of 1970s Danish design. The translucent white butyrate dome gently diffuses the light, softening its glow while accentuating the lamp’s streamlined form.
Originally conceived for the Formland trade exhibition in Denmark, this design captures the optimism and innovation of 1970s Scandinavian modernism. Both playful and functional, it’s a collectible piece that reflects Fog & Mørup’s pioneering approach to contemporary lighting.
Perfect as an accent on a side table, desk, or nightstand, this lamp adds a warm and stylish Space Age touch to any interior.
Good vintage condition with light wear consistent with age and use. Minor surface marks and subtle patina to the lacquer, adding character to the piece. Fully functional with checked wiring.
