The 'Juno' pendant is a compact, robust design by Jo Hammerborg for Fog & Mørup, launched in 1963. The fixture features a sturdy copper-toned central cylinder encircled by a matte black metal ring. It belongs to the same design family as the 'Eiffel' and 'Equator', sharing the specific construction of a central cylinder surrounded by an anti-glare ring with a colourful interior.
The lighting effect is carefully engineered through two distinct features. First, the interior of the black outer ring is lacquered in vibrant orange, which reflects against the central copper body to create a deep, warm glow. Second, the lamp retains its original white plastic concentric diffuser at the base. This rare component, often missing in vintage examples, effectively shields the bulb and softens the downlight into a glare-free output.
Provides warm, intimate lighting suitable for a hallway, small dining table, or reading nook. Good vintage condition. The piece is complete with its original, intact plastic diffuser.
