This bed is part of the 'Kamer 56' series designed by Rob Parry and Emile Truijen for DICO in the 1950s.

The design features a black lacquered metal frame with a clean, industrial profile. The footboard is detailed with a contrasting off-white wooden panel featuring a series of circular 'porthole' cutouts, adding a geometric element to the minimalist structure. The base consists of a metal mesh spring system typical of the era. This piece is sold as a frame and requires a mattress.
