A definitive piece of Space Age design, the Teleavia Panoramic 111 (P111) is famous for its radical departure from the boxy televisions of its era.
Launched in 1958, this receiver features a distinctive two-part construction: a detached, swiveling CRT housing (marketed as the tête orientable) rests atop a separate console base containing the speaker and chassis. The streamlined, aerodynamic silhouette mimics the lines of aviation and radar technology, reflecting the manufacturer's roots in the "Sud-Aviation" group. The cabinet combines a deep maroon-brown finish with a contrasting cream screen surround and brass control details.
A rare and sculptural collector's piece, ideal as a focal point in a design-led interior or media room.
Sold as a decorative object. The piece appears aesthetically complete with original knobs and finish, showing patina and wear consistent with age. Functionality is untested and not guaranteed.
