A adjustable pendant light by Cosack Leuchten, model 7565, produced in Germany circa 1960s. The fixture features a dual-material composition: a wide, gold-tone metal shade that directs light downwards, topped by a domed milk glass (opal) diffuser that allows for a soft, upward ambient glow. This technical combination reduces glare while illuminating the room.
The lamp is designed with a practical "rise and fall" mechanism, utilizing a spiral cable and a metal handle at the bottom, allowing the user to adjust the height of the lamp with a simple pull. Designed specifically for dining areas, allowing intimate lighting when pulled low or general illumination when raised. Good vintage condition. The brass finish and glass show light signs of age and wear consistent with the period.
