A streamlined pendant light by Cosack Leuchten, model 7563/0271, produced in Germany circa 1960s/70s. The fixture is defined by its two-part shade construction: a polished chrome metal skirt that directs light downwards for task illumination, topped by a domed milk glass (opal) diffuser. This upper glass element allows light to escape softly upwards, creating a warm ambient glow and reducing the contrast between the light source and the ceiling. The simple, clean lines mark it as a fine example of German functionalist design.
A versatile choice for kitchens, hallways, or dining areas where glare-free light is essential. Good vintage condition. The chrome finish and glass show light signs of age and use consistent with the period.
