Triple Scandinavian Mid-Century Chandelier in Opaline Glass pendants
This elegant ceiling light, designed by Lisa Johansson-Pape and produced by Stockmann Orno in Finland during the 1950s, exemplifies the designer’s refined approach to functional yet atmospheric lighting.
The chandelier features three large opaline glass globes (each measuring approximately 35 cm in diameter and 37 cm in height) suspended from a central brass structure with slim vertical rods. The soft, milky-white glass gently diffuses the light, creating an even, ambient glow characteristic of Scandinavian modern design.
The opaline glass was a signature material for Johansson-Pape, chosen for its ability to soften electric light and enhance spatial warmth without glare.
Measuring 117 cm in total height and 76 cm in diameter, this chandelier combines sculptural presence with balanced proportion. Its serene, organic silhouette and timeless materials make it a versatile centrepiece. Ideal above a dining table, in a living space with high ceilings, or as a statement light in an entrance hall.
All glass elements are original and in excellent vintage condition, with minor traces of age consistent with it's age. Original “Bulbo” glass pieces are also available individually, allowing for flexible use as single pendants or custom multi-light installations.
