Danish Space Age 'Optima' Lamp by Hans Due (1972)

The 'Optima' series, designed by Hans Due in 1972, is one of the most recognizable lines from Fog & Mørup's late Space Age catalog. This specific model is the 35cm version finished in a deep matte brown. A defining feature of the Optima is its tiered, concentric structure and the internal anti-glare ring painted in a contrasting color (in this case, red) which casts a warm, atmospheric glow on the inner reflector while keeping the direct downlight neutral.

The lamp's slim vertical profile makes it an excellent choice for low suspension over a dining table or kitchen counter.

Mint condition. This is a rewired New Old Stock (NOS) item, never used and preserved in its original Fog & Mørup factory packaging.
