Floor lamp with integrated multi-tier side table produced during the 1950s.
The fixture features a two-tiered side table structure with a cream-colored upper tier and a glossy black lower shelf, both bound by brass rims and supported by brass hairpin legs. Rising from the center of the tabletop is a turned wood stem element, displaying hand-painted engravings and illustrations in a post-surrealist style. The lamp is topped by its original cylindrical drum lampshade, which features a printed graphic depicting a historical Venetian harbor scene with gondolas, classic architecture, and figures.
The integration of functional furniture with lighting, whimsical painted accents, and a pictorial textile shade is typical of playful mid-century modern European domestic designs from the 1950s.
Suited for placement next to a reading armchair, inside a mid-century salon corner, or as a statement hallway accent. Very Good condition. The original lacquered table surfaces and brass components are clean with light, age-appropriate surface marks and minor patina. The hand-painted wood central element is remarkably well preserved. The original Venetian textile drum shade shows minor faint handling marks and uniform vintage coloration but remains structurally sound.
