Desk lamp produced by Cosack Leuchten in West Germany during the 1970s. When lit, the acrylic shade filters a soft, warm peripheral ambient illumination while projecting functional downward glare-free lighting over a workspace layout.

Cosack Leuchten was highly celebrated throughout the mid-century and Space Age eras for engineering upscale, minimalist metal task fixtures that perfectly synthesized modern synthetic plastics with technical hardware.

Suited as a sculptural reading light on a living room sideboard or as an expressive executive desk lamp.

Good. Light surface pitting and scratching to the chrome-plated elements consistent with normal use. The original beige acrylic shade shows a minor structural heat deformation along its lower inside rim.
