The set is a mix of medical and industrial history. It features hand-painted apothecary jars (one labeled "PAIN. DENT." for dental preparation) alongside heavy industrial essence bottles from the Dutch fragrance house Polak & Schwarz (embossed Polak & Schwarz Essence Zaandam). The deep cobalt color was historically chosen to protect light-sensitive contents, whether medicinal compounds or essential oils. The bottles vary in scale and silhouette, from large carboys to slender tincture jars, some retaining their original cork stoppers.
