Flush mount ceiling lamp featuring a red truncated cone canopy, a flat white reflector plate, and a curved slatted metal diffuser. The slatted cage surrounds the bulb, casting a subtle pattern of light and shadow across the reflector and ceiling while softening direct glare.
Designer and manufacturer unknown. The combination of primary colors, geometric forms, and the slatted wire cage structure is characteristic of Western European functionalist lighting design from the late 1950s and early 1960s.
Suited to placement in a hallway, bedroom, or low-ceilinged space requiring a compact architectural fixture. The red canopy shows visible paint loss and chipping around the upper rim and body, and the white reflector plate has minor wear along the edge, both visible in the photographs.
