Set of two minimalist white wall lamps. Designed by the French architect Bertrand Balas for the Dutch manufacturer Raak, the 'Balance' wall lamp is an example of "Illuminated Architecture" (Lichtarchitectuur), the brand's original tag line.

The silhouette of the piece is defined by a rectangular metal plane that is the backdrop of an organic, recessed volume. The central shell holds the light source, which projects an atmospheric, diffused glow against the interior curve, effectively softening the sharp, geometric outlines of the lamp's frame. The interplay between the rigid exterior and the fluid, interior concave form creates a sculptural point that anchors the wall with both stability and elegance.

The design allows for complete orientation flexibility; the piece can be mounted with the opening pointing either upward or downward, permitting a custom light trajectory tailored to the specific spatial requirements of an interior.
