Atomic Chrome Floor Lamp by Kalmar, 1970.

This iconic floor lamp is a signature piece of the Space Age design movement of the 1970s, produced by the prestigious Austrian lighting firm Kalmar Franken KG.

The design is fundamentally sculptural and geometric. It features a central vertical column and a stable circular base, both finished in reflective polished chrome. The standout element is the light cluster at the top: a molecular or 'atomic' structure where nine cylindrical arms radiate outwards at various angles from a central point. Each arm holds a light source.

When illuminated, the polished chrome and the exposed globe bulbs create a brilliant, multifaceted light display, making it a compelling, era-defining object for any contemporary or vintage interior.
