Pendant lamp produced by Vistosi on the island of Murano, Italy, during the 1970s. The fixture features a large, dome-shaped outer shade of translucent olive green glass, exemplifying the refined geometries of mid-century Italian glass blowing. Nested inside is an integrated milk white opaline glass core that extends upward through a heavy brushed aluminum collar hardware assembly. When illuminated, the opaque inner core functions as the primary diffuser to soften direct glare, casting a warm, multi-layered atmospheric light through the green outer dome.
Under the forward-thinking mid-century leadership of the Vistosi family, the Murano glassworks combined traditional Venetian expertise with the organic, sculptural lines that defined the Space Age design movement.
Suited for suspension above a dining table, kitchen island, or reading lounge arrangement.
Excellent. The hand-blown glass components are free of chips, cracks, or deep scratches. The brushed aluminum hardware exhibits light, age-appropriate surface tarnish.
