Textured Yellow Glass Panel Chandelier, Europe, 1970s

Regular price €1.195,00
Description

Chandelier produced in Europe during the 1970s. The fixture is constructed with geometric glass panels finished in a soft, straw-yellow hue. Each heavy pane is smooth on the exterior face and layered with a dense, sugary grit frosting along the interior side. This specialized ice glass texture breaks up direct light, casting a warm, highly diffused ambient glow across the surroundings. The glass canopy hooks onto a metal geometric frame.

The combination of textured art glass shards and architectural, tiered brass frames was pioneered by high-end Austrian and West German lighting workshops throughout the late mid-century era to add decorative opulence to modern spaces.

Suited for suspension as a focal piece above a dining table or hanging in a hallway entry.

Excellent. The lacquered structural frame exhibits minimal, age-appropriate wear. The glass panels are free of chips or cracks. Accompanied by one matching spare replacement panel.

Tax included.
