A large pendant lamp featuring a distinctive waisted, hourglass form made from thick, translucent caramel-colored glass.
This Italian Mid-Century Modern design from the late 1960s or 1970s uses a sophisticated construction that provides dual lighting. The main body houses a bulb for direct downward illumination, while the upper, smaller bowl contains two smaller bulbs to create indirect uplighting against the ceiling. The glossy, vibrant glass is entirely translucent, offering a soft, warm amber glow when illuminated. The sculptural, bold silhouette and color are characteristic of high-quality Murano glass lighting from the period.
Provides effective direct illumination and soft ambient uplighting simultaneously, making it suitable for central placement over a table or in a living space.
Excellent vintage condition, consistent with a well-maintained glass collectible.
