Filippo Mariucci’s collaboration with Italian lighting manufacturer Harvey Guzzini produced some of the most iconic lighting designs of the late 1960s and 1970s. Harvey Guzzini (later evolving into iGuzzini) was instrumental in elevating synthetic materials, transforming commercial plastics into sophisticated, atmospheric instruments for the domestic interior. Documented in the company’s late 1960s archival catalogs, the "Home" pendant (Model 2216) stands as a rare and significant historical document of this era, reflecting the Italian transition toward Space Age forms and advanced material engineering.

The pendant executes a rigorous formal logic through a sculptural, waisted hourglass silhouette. It is molded from thick, dual-layered Plexiglas, with a rich caramel-amber hue on the exterior while remaining opaque white on the interior to maximize reflectivity. Inside the shape hides a dual-illumination system. The central vertical axis houses the primary bulb that projects direct light downward, while the flared upper basin cradles two auxiliary sockets that reflect an indirect, ambient uplight against the ceiling. When illuminated, the translucent acrylic shell diffuses a warm, luminous glow, anchoring the fixture as a commanding spatial volume.

Condition: Excellent. The Plexiglas retains its high-gloss finish and structural integrity, exhibiting minor surface marks that serve as authentic patina and confirm its historical authenticity.
