A functional and sculptural floor lamp designed by Enrique Franch for Spanish manufacturer Metalarte.

This piece features a tall, highly chrome tubular column and a heavy, cast iron circular base. The adjustable element is a horizontal chrome rod that allows the shade to be repositioned. The hemispherical shade is connected by a signature coiled electrical cord, and the shade itself can be tilted to focus the light. The combination of reflective chrome and the simple white dome shade provides a definitive Mid-Century Modern statement.

Provides focused, adjustable reading light or uplighting, making it highly versatile next to a sofa or armchair.

Good vintage condition. The base and the outer shade have been repainted white; the inner shade shows some surface wear. A version of this lamp is also available with a Bordeaux shade.
