A technical table lamp designed by Enrique Franch for the Barcelona-based manufacturer Metalarte, circa 1970s. The design is characterized by a robust chrome column and a cantilevered arm that holds a rounded, white-lacquered metal shade. The shade is fully adjustable, allowing for precise directional lighting, and features the switch integrated directly into the back housing. A distinctive external coiled black cable connects the stem to the shade, a hallmark of the functionalist aesthetic of the era.
The lamp rests on a heavy, circular metal base which provides substantial stability. Ideal as a functional desk lamp or a reading light in a modern workspace.
Fair to Good vintage condition. The base has been repainted. The original white lacquer on the shade shows visible indentations and surface marks consistent with age and use.
